Established in 2018 under his medical leadership, LCI was created as Illinois’s first multi-operating-room office-based cataract surgery facility—a focused environment built specifically around advanced lens and cataract care.

Dr. Multack earned his medical degree at Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine after undergraduate study at Saint Xavier University. He completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, serving as Chief Resident.
His professional work includes cataract and laser-assisted cataract surgery, advanced-technology intraocular lenses, clinical research, peer-reviewed publication and ophthalmology education. He has taught residents and medical students and has authored ophthalmology book chapters.
